Just Sharing My Experience

Hello everyone. I am a new user here. I come from Indonesia. When I searched about Alma's blog, then I found it in a Google search and it directed me to the Libarea.ru forum site.

Let's get straight to it.

Just want to share stories and experiences.

I have been a blogger since 2007 until now.

Most of me have read about the advantages and disadvantages of the Alma script here.

When I was looking for a personal blog that was right for me, and I found a blog that I thought was right for me in the Codester marketplace.

Without further ado and thinking, I immediately bought the Alma script.

After buying it, I immediately tested it directly on my server. Ohh it turns out, there are so many shortcomings.

And I have many articles from 2007−2024 that I want to move to my new blog. However, I still think, is it possible to move all articles to a new blog, while some of Alma's features still have many shortcomings and many features are still not available.

Here is my blog https://bianity.com

When I found the Libarea.ru site I was quite interested in some of the features, however, I was less interested in the appearance or design of the page. (But I still need to learn more about the libarea.ru script).

It seems like I have to learn a lot more in this forum, because there are so many articles that are useful for me.

Please give me advice, what should I do in the future.

Sorry, if my English translation is not good.

Thank you.

    I like your site, design.

You write that there is a lot that can be done in Alma, but there is feedback with the developer. Perhaps you should make him your suggestions, what else needs to be done, improved?

And the LibArea script? Meet the script, it is open, no need to buy. You can download, install and see if it suits you or not.

      Ok thanks for your feedback.

I will try to test the LibArea script.

Oh by the way, can you help me change my Username from capital B to capital, Bianity. Can this be done in account settings? I can't seem to find it.

      Thanks.

Alma is good if you are the one who writes as personal blog, or you have few people as a team.
but as an open forum for everyone let's say like reddit, it will not work.
first has no link sharing, second the way the stories get created is not that easy.
users look for easy experience, post pages are very flat.
the feed pages are not that good when you are seeking feed from subscribed communities only.
i believe the developer of Alam puts a weight to the design more than the functions.
such a development must be balanced.

for Libarea, the design is not perfect but not bad (A little bit flat compared to Alma), most of the functions are good, like adding articles, links, Q&A and way of selecting topics, creating blogs (which i prefer to be called channels).

I told @Evg before that this script will have a bright future.
but with one condition, to be updated regularly, the work on new stuff to be faster, more developers must be engaged in this project, more people also needs to donate and fund it.

      Thanks for the great advice.

On my blog, it is only managed by a few teams (5 people) including writers and other contributors.

I want to have a blog that is, all writers get rewarded with points, so that all writers can make money.

But I'm still waiting for the alma update, is it possible for the developer to add it in the future.

For the LibArea script, I think it's pretty good, only the front design appearance that I think is less attractive. I'm not good at coding, but as much as possible, I try to overhaul it little by little. I will try to use the LibArea script with a special domain for weeks.
